A spoon and a pair of chopsticks in mirror-polished stainless steel, each drawn as one continuous form. There is no seam where the handle meets the bowl and no joint at the chopstick shoulder, so the polish runs the whole length uninterrupted and the pieces pick up the colour of whatever is on the table. Near the end of every piece, Horang's name is etched small enough that you find it rather than notice it.
Horang counts the work in steps: 30 for the spoon, 25 for the chopsticks, 55 in all, run by a metalworker with forty years at the bench. The spoon is 210mm with a deep oval bowl sized for rice and for broth, and at 70g it is noticeably heavier than everyday steel cutlery. The chopsticks are 222mm, flat-sided, tapering toward a squared tip. Because the finishing is done by hand, the tips and edges vary slightly from piece to piece.
A spoon and chopsticks together are the standard Korean place setting, sujeo (수저), rice and soup taken with the spoon and everything else with the chopsticks. This is the set for two: two spoons, two pairs of chopsticks. Horang asks that these be washed by hand rather than in a dishwasher, which dulls the polish and can discolour it: a soft sponge and ordinary dish soap is all it takes. The polishing compound is removed before the set ships, so it needs only one wash for hygiene before the first meal.

- Hand wash. Horang advises against the dishwasher, which dulls the polish and can cause discolouration. Wash with a soft sponge and ordinary dish soap, then dry with a cloth. Keep steel wool and sharp objects off the surface; both scratch and discolour it. Avoid direct flame and strong heat. The polishing compound is removed before the set ships, so one wash for hygiene is all it needs before the first use. For cooking and eating only, and not a toy for small children or pets.

We need 1 to 5 business days to confirm with the studio and prepare your order. Korea Post EMS is 3 to 7 business days in transit. Made-to-order pieces take 5 to 10 business days to prepare; we note this on the product page.
What's your return policy?
Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery, in original condition. Email contact@shopsoodam.com for a return authorization first. Buyer covers return shipping for change-of-mind; customs duties and the $25 shipping fee (on orders under $150) are non-refundable.
What if it arrives damaged?
That's on us. Email contact@shopsoodam.com within 7 days with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We'll send a replacement or a full refund, your choice.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Within 1 hour of ordering, yes. After that we'll try, but we forward orders to studios in Korea within 24 hours, so it depends on whether preparation has started. Email contact@shopsoodam.com right away.
How does store credit work?
