Hin takes its name from an old Hebrew word for a jug, and for a measure of liquid. It is NR Ceramics' collection of tableware drawn in flowing, liquid-like lines, hand-thrown by Nuri Lee in her studio in Bukchon.

The cups carry the same off-round shape as the rest of the collection: asymmetrical curves that overlap rather than repeat, so no two sit quite the same way on a tray. The surface is matte, and the faint iron specks and marks on the unglazed base come from the clay and the firing rather than from wear.

The small holds about 100ml, sized for espresso, a short tea, or a small pour of spirits. The medium holds about 220ml, enough for a full cup of coffee or tea. Each variant ships as a pair of two identical cups, in a gift box.

Stone white, soil beige, and brown are all matte glazes that shift a little in daylight; minor variation in depth, color, and form is characteristic of hand-thrown work.

MATERIAL
Matte glazed ceramic, hand-thrown

CARE
Dishwasher and microwave safe. Avoid the oven and open flame, which can crack the glaze. Don't leave them soaking in colored liquids; rinse soon after use. Clean with soft tools only, since metal scrubbers will scratch.

Things people ask

Will I have to pay customs or import taxes?

No. Every order ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). All applicable duties and taxes are built into the product price, so your parcel arrives with nothing more to pay.

How long until it arrives?

We need 1 to 5 business days to confirm with the studio and prepare your order. Korea Post EMS is 3 to 7 business days in transit. Made-to-order pieces take 5 to 10 business days to prepare; we note this on the product page.

What's your return policy?

Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery, in original condition. Email contact@shopsoodam.com for a return authorization first. Buyer covers return shipping for change-of-mind; duties and the $25 shipping fee (on orders under $150) are non-refundable.

What if it arrives damaged?

That's on us. Email contact@shopsoodam.com within 7 days with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We'll send a replacement or a full refund, your choice.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Within 1 hour of ordering, yes. After that we'll try, but we forward orders to studios in Korea within 24 hours, so it depends on whether preparation has started. Email contact@shopsoodam.com right away.
