The Hin tea cup belongs to NR Ceramics’ tableware line, named for an old Hebrew word that meant both a jar and a unit of liquid measure. Its stoneware body follows that idea in continuous, liquid-like lines, with soft asymmetrical curves rather than true circles. Matte glaze covers the iron-bearing clay body. It comes in Stone White or Soil Beige. Brown is the third glaze.

The small cup holds one hundred milliliters, enough for an espresso or a short pour of tea, and sits easily in one hand. The medium works as a full everyday cup. Both set a low profile on the table. Both keep the same low, gently waisted body; only the scale changes.

NR Ceramics shapes each cup by hand, one at a time. Glaze depth and color can shift between pieces, as can the form itself. Brown and black iron flecks may surface from the clay, while firing can leave faint bubble marks. The unglazed base may carry kiln marks.
