The Moonlight plate sets a full moon draped in cloud into its broad porcelain surface. The carving is worked in eumyanggak (음양각), a Korean technique combining recessed and raised relief. The well sits near one edge. At nearly twenty-four centimeters across, the plate comes in glossy white or semi-matte white with brown iron-oxide dots.
Empty, the carving reads as clouds passing over the moon. Add soy sauce or vinegar, and the dark liquid settles into the recesses while the raised moon surfaces through it. The patented design keeps sushi or sashimi and its dipping sauce on one plate. So the table loses a dish. The porcelain is fired at 1,250°C and KICET-certified cadmium- and lead-free.
Each piece is hand-formed and hand-glazed, so pinholes from firing or occasional glaze drip lines may appear. Glazing-tong marks are also part of the work, while dot pattern, sheen, and texture differ between pieces.

What if it arrives damaged?
