Two mandarin ducks, wonang (원앙), the bird Koreans give in pairs at a wedding, are cast as candles for LOFA Seoul's collaboration with illustrator KIMI, whose drawing also wraps the box. Each duck measures eleven centimeters across and is hand-painted with a colored cap, yellow bill, and black tail. One side is red and the other blue, set so the pair faces inward as a couple.
Each candle is scented with freesia, soft and clean, nearer soap than flower. They arrive in a house-shaped box printed with KIMI's drawing, finished for giving. Burn them or keep them as objects. Because the painting is done by hand, the blocks of color sit a little differently on every duck.

We need 1 to 5 business days to confirm with the studio and prepare your order. Korea Post EMS is 3 to 7 business days in transit. Need it sooner? DHL Express (2 to 4 business days in transit) is available at checkout for $85. Made-to-order pieces take 5 to 10 business days to prepare; we note this on the product page.
What's your return policy?
Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery, in original condition. Email contact@shopsoodam.com for a return authorization first. Buyer covers return shipping for change-of-mind. Import duties paid at checkout and shipping are not refunded on returns.
What if it arrives damaged?
That's on us. Email contact@shopsoodam.com within 7 days with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We'll send a replacement or a full refund, your choice.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Within 1 hour of ordering, yes. After that we'll try, but we forward orders to studios in Korea within 24 hours, so it depends on whether preparation has started. Email contact@shopsoodam.com right away.
How does store credit work?
