Hin takes its name from an old Hebrew word for a jug, and for a measure of liquid. It is NR Ceramics' collection of tableware drawn in flowing, liquid-like lines: asymmetrical curves that overlap rather than repeat, so a form made for food keeps the feel of something poured.

The set is a one-person Korean place setting: a rice bowl and a slightly larger soup bowl, each thrown and glazed by hand in a soft matte finish. The rims are gently off-round, never quite closing into a circle, so the curve and the depth of color shift a little from piece to piece.

The rice bowl is about 13.5cm across, the soup bowl about 15cm, both sized for a personal setting rather than large serving bowls. They carry real weight in the hand, and the matte color reads warmer in daylight than it does on screen. Beyond rice and soup the bowls take salad, fruit, or a single course just as easily, and they sit well next to plain white tableware. Dishwasher and microwave safe; keep them away from the oven and open flame. Three colorways: stone white, soil beige, and a deep brown.

Specks of iron in the clay and small marks on the unglazed base come from the firing and vary from bowl to bowl. They are a characteristic of how these are made, not a defect.

No. Every order ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). All applicable duties and taxes are built into the product price, so your parcel arrives with nothing more to pay.

How long until it arrives?

We need 1 to 5 business days to confirm with the studio and prepare your order. Korea Post EMS is 3 to 7 business days in transit. Made-to-order pieces take 5 to 10 business days to prepare; we note this on the product page.

What's your return policy?

What if it arrives damaged?

That's on us. Email contact@shopsoodam.com within 7 days with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We'll send a replacement or a full refund, your choice.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Within 1 hour of ordering, yes. After that we'll try, but we forward orders to studios in Korea within 24 hours, so it depends on whether preparation has started. Email contact@shopsoodam.com right away.
