Sewing is partly done by hand, so stitching and finishing vary slightly cover to cover and measurements can run about 2cm either way. Neither counts as a fault. Linen creases, and it arrives folded. If hand-washing isn't possible, wash the cover alone in a mesh bag in lukewarm water.
